Returns and shipping

RETURNS POLICY

Returns will be accepted for any reason provided we are notified within 30 days of receipt. Please retain all original packaging and await our instructions concerning the method of return postage. We will ask you to email us photographs of any damage incurred in the post before a decision is made to return the item to us. Refunds will be issued when we have received the item back or on photographic evidence of postal damage. Other than postal damage items must be returned in their condition at the time of sale. It is VERY IMPORTANT for buyers to obtain a certificate of posting and tracking information when returning an item, and this should be retained in the event of loss or damage on the item's return journey.

If an item is not in the condition described in the listing at the time of receipt by the buyer any return postage costs will be refunded in full - once we have received the item back to our premises. We will fully refund the original cost of the item plus outgoing postage but not return postage costs in all other circumstances.

SHIPPING 

DISPATCH TIME
We aim to dispatch within 1-2 working days of payment. We send a shipping notification through Etsy channels as soon as possible after dispatch. If we have used PayPal for purchasing postage labels the buyer will receive an automatic notification at the point the label is paid for. PLEASE NOTE that whilst we do everything in our power to ensure a speedy delivery by dispatching early, we are not able to guarantee delivery times - see below.

POSTAGE

We do not aim to profit from postage, and charge what it costs plus a very small amount for packaging and commission costs we have to pay. Some of our items may be offered with free postage to UK buyers, and in these cases the international postage price will reflect a discount equivalent to the UK savings. Discounts for multiple purchases should appear automatically at Checkout (please contact us if they do not appear reasonable). If the final cost of the package is more than £1 in excess of what our buyer has paid, we aim to refund the buyer after dispatch of their package.

UK DESTINATIONS

Unless stated otherwise we dispatch by Royal Mail First Class to UK destinations. We dispatch by the Signed For Delivery service for more expensive items, generally over £20 in value. This does result in higher postage costs, but as the Royal Mail does not compensate for item value more than £20 under the First Class service we cannot offer a cheaper option.

There may be an advantage to the buyer in posting by a guaranteed delivery service if items are needed very quickly. Please contact us at an early stage, preferably before making your purchase, if you require this upgrade.

There may also be occasions when a courier might be a cheaper posting option than the Royal Mail, especially when multiple items are purchased. Please contact us before or after purchase if you require a quote.

INTERNATIONAL DESTINATIONS

We dispatch by the Royal Mail Standard Air Mail service for inexpensive items going to international destinations. THIS SERVICE IS NOT TRACKED, but it does keep the postage costs relatively low.

We dispatch by Royal Mail Tracked and Signed service for more expensive items, generally over £50 in value. This does result in higher postage costs, but as the Royal Mail does not compensate for item value more than £20 under the Standard Air Mail service we cannot offer a cheaper option.

There may also be occasions when a courier might be a cheaper posting option than the Royal Mail, especially when multiple items are purchased. Please contact us before or after purchase if you require a quote.

DELIVERY TIME

UK
Usually one or two working days from dispatch at the post office.

EUROPE
Usually around a week from dispatch at the post office.

REST OF WORLD
Usually one to three weeks from dispatch at the post office.

DELAYS AND LOSS

NONE OF THE ABOVE DELIVERY TIMES CAN BE GUARANTEED, although by far the majority of parcels do arrive within these timescales. In the event of delay PLEASE NOTE that the Royal Mail allow up to the following times before a claim for loss will be accepted:

UK - 15 working days; Europe - 20 working days; Rest of World - 25 working days.

It is our policy to refund our buyers in full if an item has not been delivered after the time immediately above. Please be patient - it is very rare for an item to get lost and not arrive within this timescale. We are responsible for getting the item to you or refunding if it is not possible, but postal delays are completely outside our control.

CUSTOMS

We are not VAT registered and therefore do not administer VAT on national or European sales and purchases. We take no responsibility for Customs costs or tariffs at any international destination.
