2 sterling silver napkin rings, engine turned, hallmarked Chester 1924
2 sterling silver napkin rings dating to 1924, hallmarked for Chester in 1924. The napkin rings are in a bellied shape with an engine turned pattern and blank central cartouche reflecting the early beginnings of Art Deco.
This is a very pretty matching pair in highly sought after Chester silver. They would look wonderful on a table for two.
Diameter of the napkin rings is 4 cm/1.6 inches; height is 2.5 cm/ 1 inch. Total weight is 19g.
Condition is generally good. There are some small dings, mostly in the natural crease of the design where the rim meets the belly so they are not conspicuous. The hallmarks are a little rubbed and as a result I am unable to identify the maker.
