2 cased silver napkin rings, Art Deco, Dublin and Birmingham hallmarks
Cased pair of sterling silver napkin rings with an Art Deco engine turned design and a raised scrolled edge. The napkin rings are oval in form and are made in a good grade of silver by Roberts and Dore of Sheffield. The rings are well presented in a black leather look hinged jeweller's case lined with with black velvet and cream satin.
The rings are attractively monogrammed with the letter "R" to one and "F" to the other.
The interesting thing about these napkin rings is that they are double-hallmarked, having apparently been imported to Dublin from Birmingham in 1936/37. The case itself contains the jeweller's name; West and Son, Grafton House, Dublin.
The rings are is 5 cm/2 inches long; 3.5 cm/1.4 cm wide and 3 cm/1.1 inches wide. Total silver weight is 55g.
The rings are in good vintage condition. There are some light surface scratches consistent with previous use but no other wear or damage. Box condition is good - just minimal scuffs to the outside and clean to the interior.
