5 vintage faux bone handled dessert knives, Sheffield stainless blades
5 vintage faux bone handled dessert knives with cream coloured Ivorine handles and tapered Sheffield Super Stainless blades.
The knives are in the Community Plate brand name by Oneida - a world renowned cutler still in operation today.
The knives are presented in their original cardboard box. Sadly one of the original set of 6 is missing.
The handles of these knives are a buttercream colour and clearly show the graining which would be typical of ivory or bone. The blades are particularly bright and lustrous with a mirror finish. The knives probably date from the 1930s to 1950s.
The knives are 20.5cm/8 inches long.
The knives are in very good vintage condition. Surface scratches consistent with llght previous use but no other significant wear or damage.
Please view the photographs carefully to ensure you are happy with the description and condition before bidding. I am always willing to answer queries and provide more photographs on request.
