Carnival glass bowl, Marigold Glass, fruit bowl, Fenton glassware
Carnival Glass bowl by Fenton, in an orange Marigold glass design of chrysanthemums, windmills and boats.
The raised pattern to the interior of this fruit bowl is complemented by the wavy, almost handkerchief style surround and frilled rim. The bowl is in iridescent pale orange glass and probably dates to the 1930s.
This is a very attractive piece ofArt Deco tableware - a glass fruit bowl iin a good size for small to medium sized fruits such as small apples, plums and tangerines.deal for sweets, nuts or small fruits. Its iridescence and pretty colour make it ideal for a will-lit corner or display area.
Maximum diameter is 22.5 cm/8.75.5 inches. Height is 7 cm/2.75 inches.
Condition is good to commensurate with use. Some small scratches to the surfac and a small chip to the rim as per last photo (although it is almost lost in the high level of decoration so does not have a significant impact on the appearance). There are some minor manufacturer flaws beneath the surface of the glass where the joins have been fused together.
