Silver plated jam spoon, butter knife & pickle fork, cream bakelite handles, Art Deco, boxed
Serving set comprising a trio of jam spoon, butter knife and pickle fork, presented in a white cardboard box. Each piece has a silver plated bowl or blade and a cream coloured faux bone or Bakelite handle. The pieces are attractively shaped in the traditional style, lustrously plated but with no other decoration. They are each complimented with a silver plated collar.
The set is marked with "EPNS" (Electro Plated Nickel Silver) but there is no maker's name. They are probably British and date from the 1930s to 1950s.
This is a charming vintage set and would perfectly suit other Art Deco, vintage and bone handled cutlery at the table.
The jam spoon is 16.5cm/6.5 inches long
The butter knife is 16.5cm/6.5 inches long
The pickle fork is 17.5cm/6.9 inches long.
Condition is very good. It is clear that the set has had little previous use and there is no plate wear or other damage. Surface scraches are very minor. Box condition is sound but faded from long-term storage.
