Royal Albert sweet dish, Old Country Roses, First Quality
Royal Albert sweet dish or bon bon dish by Royal Albert in their Old Country Roses design, with a First Quality backstamp.
This dish is a lovely example of this quality porcelain china. The pattern was designed by Harold Holdcroft in 1962, and the backstamp dates the dish from 1973 to 1993. The un-altered backstamp reflects that the dish is rated as First Quality.
The pattern requires no description as it is so well known, but a particularly nice feature of the dish is the flared and scalloped sides, which gives the appearance of a large open shell.
This is a lovely collectable for those who love Royal Albert porcelain.
Condition is very good. There are no chips or cracks. Surface scratches are minimal and the dish has probably been displayed rather than used.
Please view the photographs carefully to ensure you are happy with the description and condition before bidding. I am always willing to answer queries and provide more photographs on request.
