Shelley small porcelain bowl, rose design, 1910 to 1925
Shelley small porcelain bowl or nut dish with a mark dating it between 1910 and 1925. This bowl is in a rose design, in a very fine grade of china.
The china is so thin it is almost opaque. The bowl is decorated to the inside and out with swags of red roses.
The quality and perfection of this tiny bowl cannot be overstated. It is a lovely little serving accessory for small food items; maybe sauces and relish. It would also make an ideal small posy bowl for flowers, where it would look superb as a table decoration or adding interest to a small niche.
Maximum diameter is length is 6.5 cm/2.5 inches. Height is 4 cm/1.6 inches.
The bowl is in very good condition, without cracks, chips or crazing.
