Silver plated condiment set - one piece salt, pepper and mustard pots
Silver plated condiment set in one fixed piece shaped like a trefoil with ball feet and a double looped handle.
There is a faceted design around the sides of each piece and the egg-shaped pepper shaker lifts out of its section for individual use at the table.
There are blue glass liners to the salt pot and mustard pot but please note that these are replacements and although they are perfectly acceptable, are not quite a perfect fit being flat bases to rounded pots. The liner to the mustard pot is a couple of millimetres too tall, although this is not obvious because of the hinged lid.
The set is in a heavy quality of EPNS (Electro Plated Nickel Silver) and was made by the highly regarded Daniel and Arter of Birmingham.
This set would make a charming vintage item for the traditional dining table.
Condition is commensurate with age and previous use. Light surface scratches to be expected but no plate wear to the outside. There is tarnishing and corrosion to the inside bases of the salt and the mustard pots (see last photo) although this would not be visible in use and would be covered by the liners anyway.
Maximum cruet dimensions are:
Length 11.5cm/4.5 inches
Height 7cm/3 inches
Diameter is 5.5cm (2 inches)
Salt pot diameter 5cm/2 inches
Pepper/mustard pot diameter 4cm/1.5 inches
