Silver plated entree dish, art deco style, Yeoman Plate
Vintage silver plated entree dish in an art deco rectangular style with handles to either side, by Yeoman.
As with any other entree diish of this type, both top and bottom sections of the dish can be used separately to present vegetables at the table. Whichever way it is used, as a single covered dish or separately, it would add grace and elegance to the occasion.
The dish is in a nice quality of silver plate by Yeoman, a popular maker of silver plated items throughout the 20th century and still in existence producing high-class gift-ware for West End shops as Douglas Pell silverware
Dimensions ( length x width x height) are:
Lower bowl 26.5cm x 13cm x3cm/10.5" x 5" x 1.25"
Top bowl excluding handles 25.5cm x 18cm x 3cm/10" x 7" x 1.25"
Condition is good to commensurate with age and previous use.. There are light surface scratches and some pocks and scrapes revealing small patches of the base metal to the interior and under-base (see last photo). The exterior plating is bright and lustrous except for a small patch of plate loss to the lid. There are no dings or dents.
