Silver plated serving spoons, boxed pair, 2 serving spoons, Art Deco style, reeded handles, James Dixon Sheffield, black hinged case
Pair of silver plated serving spoons in a classic Art Deco style, with flared reeded handles and round bowls. The spoons are presented in a Black leather look hinged case with green velvet and cream satin interior.
The design of these spoons is very striking and that may be due to their maker - James Dixon and Sons of Sheffield; one of the most widely known silversmiths in the UK, and possibly the world, during the late 19th and early 20th century. It goes without saying that the spoons are very high quality silver plated ware.
The spoons are 21 cm/8.25 inches long.
The spoons are in good vintage condition. Multiple surface scratches from previous use but with this quality of cutlery the look is mellowed and enhanced and there is no associated plate loss. Box condition is good - a few scratches and scuffs but and faded to the interior but clean and sound.
Please view the photographs carefully to ensure you are happy with the description and condition before bidding. I am always willing to answer queries and provide more photographs on request.
